Why This Reference Exists
Kentucky law provides ways to inspect many public records, but Pulaski County information is split among several custodians. The Pulaski County Detention Center keeps jail intake and current-custody records. Somerset, Ferguson, and Burnside police handle their own arrest and incident files. The Kentucky Department of Corrections publishes state custody and supervision profiles through KOOL, while the Pulaski Circuit Court Clerk holds the local case record that shows what happened after a charge was filed.
This site organizes those official paths and explains what each one does. It also points to the written request route when a photo or older booking is no longer visible online. No booking photographs are copied, stored, or displayed here. The current two-building detention center, open since November 1989, serves municipal, county, state, and federal agencies, so one jail record may begin with a different arresting office.

- Somerset, Ferguson, and Burnside pages pair each police records route with the county detention center custody search.
- The wanted-fugitives page explains the absence of a public county warrant roster and gives safe official contact routes.
- The arrest-news page separates official agency notices, local journalism, court outcomes, and unofficial archives.
